Ill be there for 3 weeks so how long would it take? Could i get it in just a day or two? Open Question: 18 days in Australia?

We are planning on going to Australia in October. My must see #1 is Sydney, and #2 is the Great Barrier Reef. When we first fly into Sydney (from Canada), I've planned for us to have 5 nights there before we fly within Australia. Then after flying in Australia, before we fly back to Canada, I've given us 3 nights in Sydney again. This is done to give us 7 days in Sydney, as well as time to rest after/before our long flight. I'd like to spend at least 7 days in the GBR. I was thinking of staying in Airlie Beach and taking day trips to islands and doing other local attractions. We want a big chunk of our trip to just be relaxing in a beach environment. We could spend about a week in Sydney and a week relaxing around the GBR. We are wondering if it's worth the time and money $$ to put Uluru/Ayers rock into our itinerary. We have enough time to spend 4 days (3 nights) in the Red Centre. Is it worth the money to go? Debating whether to spend more time at the Reef and in Sydney instead...or to add Ayers Rock to our vacation. Thanks for your thoughts! Would love to hear from people who were disappointed with the Red Centre.

Open Question: Canada's Wonderland question?

My mom and sister are leaving for vacation on may 29th...and all of my friends are going to Wonderland on June 2nd. I really want to go because I wasn't even allowed to go on my grad trips. Btw, i'm in grade 8, 13 and turning 14 in less than a month. I'm responsible, too. My parents never let me go anywhere. What should I do? Whenever I ask my mom she says to ask my dad, and my dad starts yelling at me. I really want to go...help, please? AND, they're making an excuse that 2 members of the family won't be here. It'll be on a Saturday, so everyone is going to be at home. They'll be able to drop me off. And, I can't get kidnapped cuz I'll ALWAYS stay with my friends. And that place is crowded. It's not like they can peacefully kidnap me. The rides never break. They're always safe. And, my family's thinking about renewing our season pass, so it's not the money either. It's always "it's not safe to go alone". My friends are going with me! I have talked to them without getting angry, but I haven't had a talk with my dad yet. Any ideas on how I can persuade them? Oh, and my brother went to Wonderland too with his friends! HE was allowed -_-

Open Question: What is the best way to spend money on vacation?

My husband and I are going on a trip to Canada. I have budgeted us to spend $824 on gas and food to get us up there AND back. We are staying at his grandparents cabin, along with his family. So, his family will be providing food and a place to stay. We will have about $200 to spend on whatever. What is the best way to go about this so that we don't go over our budget. For instance, do I take out cash for the entire trip?

Open Question: What career training should i take to enable myself to travel and to enable my family to live in comfort?

What career training could i take that would enable me to travel and allow me to put my family in comfortable living - preferrably a program that was NOT 4 years. I have a bachelor of arts right now - but thats a little useless. Any ideas people had, I would certainly appreciate it. I'm farily open to all ideas, but a job that would perhaps allow me to travel and, as i say, allow me to perhaps build my family a house or send them on a vacation every now and again. I don't think flight attendant or TEFL is the way to go as I've done the TEFL (its totally fine - but not a life long thing for me) and flight attendant jobs are sort of low paying and casual terms. THanks in advance for ideas people have that you thinmk might be good, i will be most appreciative to hear.I'm from rural canada - i don't know if that has any bearing in anything. but just thought id mention that as perhaps it may aid or go agaisnt some of the ideas you might suggest. Essentially i want to get on my feet some financially, and do travelling as its a passion of mine, until i can realy figure otu waht it is i would like to do for a career. i have a hard tme figurien what it is i would be gooad at, and particuliaryl what i would want to devote myself too. Again im not picky, so if u would suggest some good ideas for me:) Best Wishes, Rachael

Open Question: What is a good salary for me to have the things I want?

I'm 20 now. I'm finishing my environmental geography degree this year and am taking 1 year of practical college education after that. I will have about $20000 in school debt (which could be a lot worse). Things I eventually want in life: - A nice small house (big yard), not in a big city - A $20000 car? - A dog :) - A child in 8-10 years (I'm sure I won't be a single parent but assuming I had to be) - My boyfriend and I will be living together, but I want to know what I'd need if I had to do this by myself Things I don't want: - I hate to travel (aside from camping in province. So no big yearly vacation savings to Hawaii necessary) - I don't drink, so I also don't go out to clubs or anything I live in Ontario, Canada
